You obviously know that The Style Squad goes head over heels for all things edgy. With the fashion scene kick-starting a new trend every time we take a look-see, we can’t resist but swoon! On 23rd October, People’s one-of-a-kind fashion show at the Sunday Soul Santé made us believe why edgier is trendier, with models who highlighted the fashion-meets-edge factor. As always, our fashion radar didn’t disappoint and managed to catch a bunch of them.
While you might have already skipped a heartbeat having a look at our supercool models (as always!), here’s something that might just catch you off guard. For the love of fashion and passion, we went hunting for a unique clan of successful peeps who love what they do. And, we loved styling them trendy head-to-toe. Let’s take a cue from the exciting stories of these professionals who graciously turned our models for the day.
The cool gang that had us spoilt for choice.
The Doctor who dons-it-all
Apples aside, who doesn’t want to see a doctor this cool every day? Arwa Hussain, a homeopathic doctor and nutritionist looked every inch a diva in a grey sheath dress with ruched detailing. Going gaga over what she wore, the lady went on and on about the dress while we in turn admired her style.

The lawyer with a laid-back style
When it is about sticking to your fashion rulebook whilst slaying the game, Mayuka, the stylish lawyer, gets it right and how! With a printed crop top and a comfy pair of palazzos, her off-beat ensemble gets a nod from us.

The edgy engineer
Manik Anand, a full-time software engineer and a part-time fashion freak, made us go ooh-and-aah while pulling off a pair of beige shorts and a denim shirt. His cutting-edge casual look with a green tank and a pair of blue sneakers is a definite thumbs-up!

The dancing diva
Dressing like an A-lister is no big deal when you have your layering game on point. Poornima, a professional dancer who runs a dance studio (or a fashion studio as her outfit conveys?), donned a pair of denim shorts, a printed T-shirt and a stylized jacket, showing us how to beat the chill in style.
The chic look gets a stamp of approval.
